How to Add Custom Tokens on MetaMask Automatically
Adding ChainPort-supported custom tokens automatically is highly recommended and saves plenty of time and effort.
- Navigate to the ChainPort App.
- Connect your wallet
- Click on ‘Explore’
- Type the name or symbol of the token you want to add
- Click on the token to unveil a drop-down menu
- Click on the MetaMask icon corresponding to the token and the blockchain on which it operates.
- The token and your balance are now visible on your MetaMask wallet!
How to Add Custom Tokens on MetaMask Manually
- On your wallet's homepage, go to the 'Tokens' tab and click 'Import tokens' at the bottom.
- Select the 'Custom Token' tab at the top, then enter the token address in the first field. If you're unsure where to find this, check the steps below.
- In most cases, the token symbol and decimals will automatically be filled. If not, visit the network's block explorer to locate the token's symbol and decimals.

Trust Wallet is a popular mobile wallet associated with Binance that also recently released a browser extension. The guide below is for the mobile app.
- Open the Trust Wallet app on your phone.
- Click on the ‘plus’ icon in the top right corner.
- Now you should see a “Manage Crypto” title on the top of the screen. Click on the ‘plus’ icon in the top right corner.
- Now you should see an “Import Crypto” title on the top of the screen. Select the network and paste the token contract address.
- In most cases, the token symbol and decimals will automatically be filled. If not, visit the network's block explorer to locate the token's symbol and decimals.
- If you're still unable to find the details, search for the token's documentation online.
- Click the green “Import” button.
